Drake's Rouse Performance 19' with Mooneyham Rear Driven Blower:

Customer Drake Kelley teamed up with Mooneyham Blowers again, to do another rear driven blower setup. This time the package went into a brand new Rouse Performance Boats 19' Gullwing that Drake put together. The boat was built around the engine package that allowed a fully functional bench seat to be placed into the 19' jet boat. Drake took the motor to the dyno and the rear driven setup performed flawlessly, pumping out over 883 hp on pump gas. Click HERE to see the video of the motor on the dyno.

Drake's Hallett Vector with Mooneyham Rear Driven Blower Setup

The crew at Mooneyham Blowers teamed up with customer Drake Kelley to refine an idea that Rick Michael at Mooneyham had developed several years ago. Within the hot rod jet boat world there is a constant problem of trying to run a blower motor while retaining space and seating. With a lot of outside the box thinking, a kit has been developed to allow for the best of both worlds; big horsepower and tons of space. The whole concept revolves around turning the blower backwards, which in turn does not take up one inch of unnecessary space. The development of the kit begins with a custom rear motor plate that incorporates the idler pulley right into it. Next, a custom bottom pulley and flex plate cover are machined to allow for the drive line to go right through the center of the pulley and attach in the standard location to the pto. The blower is then custom built with the snout driving off of the opposite side of the blower to allow for the blower to spin off of the back of the motor. With this setup Drake was able to run an 8-71 -1471 blower in his Hallett Vector without having to make one modification to his interior layout or motor mount location. Overall, we could not be happier with how the entire design and package came together. Not only does it give boat owners their interior space back, but also the piece of mind that the dangerous belt is now out of harms way and in the back of the boat. Drake has now run this setup on two different motors (both pictured here) with nothing but success. We are now going to be offering this kit to all of our customers so feel free to give us a call if you have any questions.

750ci Monster Motor with Custom Mooneyham Hand Fabricated Sheet Metal Intake

A customer came to Mooneyham with the intention of running a 750ci motor with a 14-71 on top, but could not find any options for an intake manifold that would meet his needs. Rick Michael, owner of Mooneyham, took on the challenge of hand fabricating an intake manifold that would set back the blower, incorporate custom burst panels, and tie in all of the injection hard lines. It is an extremely impressive piece that must be seen to be appreciated. Watch for updates as a custom front cover with several accessories will be fabricated for the front of the motor.
